Digitorial On-Line Publisher provides a fully-integrated system for extracting valuable components from published PDF page files and managing them in a way which allows for maximum resale value to the many existing after-markets. It also provides a high-specification Library system for the publisher’s own use.
This format of multi-function system can allow publishers to make major cost savings on their library system and provide more functionality than has been seen before. With the ability to link to the iQuest Document Manager it is the most comprehensive system of its kind to date.
As a PDF file is fed into On-Line Publisher it is Analysed and its text content and Metadata is indexed. Text is extracted and copied to a text file and this content is available to be summarised (this is done live, if needed, allowing the user to specify their exact requirements on each search). Complex search strings are constructed using the Search Editor, so no understanding of Boolean search terms is needed. Frequent searches may be saved for re-use.
Search results can be viewed, initially, as a list with indicative summary. When selected, view options include text, text summary, PDF and article PDF (text and ads). Files are linked to the original full page PDF and to a thumbnail showing the original on-page position of the article. Origination data is available for display and inclusion from embedded Metadata.
